THE LONDON ART "ISTA"
A day in London with Carlotta Loverini Botta
Style and Story By Virginia Galateri

"I live art, looking for it around the world: thoughts, images and ideas to write on a page".

Carlotta Loverini Botta lives in London just a short walk from Hyde Park, in an old house that looks like a small theater, with her companion Matteo Caraccia (producer and owner of the historic London production studios, Big Sky).
For over ten years she has been working with contemporary art, a passion that she cultivated since childhood and in an atmosphere that she has always lived thoroughly inside her home.
She followed Emanuele Bonomi in the creation of the Milan gallery, ProjectB, for which she is now occupied with international projects dedicated to young artists and with all of its communications.
In 2012 she founded her own company, Artistic Traits, "artistic traits like the traces left on paper by a pencil point, for example, when you draw a profile." It promotes projects related to the art world.
Carlotta studied philosophy and collaborates with various magazines for which she writes about contemporary art, including Vogue.it and L'Officiel Art.
"I like to write ‘with my eyes’ to describe what I see, because the images should have the power to speak for themselves."

Tireless traveler and sailor, she has visited almost every corner of the world to work (it’s hard not to attend one of the exhibitions or contemporary art fairs that are held annually around the world). But also for passion: she loves to explore and to learn about new places and cultures.

Her style is bohemian but always chic. Often she likes to look for fabrics and to design her own clothes, especially evening wear. In her wardrobe are must-have large and practical bags, like the splendid python D.D. Bag in light blue, to carry her work or to cart off vintage pieces she has stolen from her mother. She loves colors, such as those of the new Tod's summer slippers. Her shoes are either low (her favorite) or decisively high for the evening.

London is the city where she has always wanted to live, "I like being able to observe the flow from my favorite spots: a European capital that is representative of the entire world.”

Her favorite addresses:

• Dock Kitchen for brunch (Portobello Docks 342-344 Ladbroke Grove, Kensal Road, W10 5BU)
• The beautiful space of Core One - Antiques & Design - (The Gasworks, 2 Michael Road, SW62AD)
• The book shop, Trolley Books (59 Riding House Street, W1W 7EG)
• The neighborhood with the rowers’ circles in Hammersmith Bridge, for an aperitif
• The Bob Bob Ricard restaurant for dinner (1 Upper James St Soho, W1F 9DF)
