About
Tod's celebrates the time-honoured tradition of Italian craftsmanship and know-how by collaborating with world-renowned photographer Tim Walker in The Art of Craftsmanship. With an original story told through a series of stunning images and videos that carry an ironic and surreal feel, Tim Walker showcases the work behind the creation of Tod's iconic pieces. With his unmistakable contemporary style and language, the photographer plays on the double register of the objects and tools that highlight and represent the steps behind handcrafted pieces.
In each image, the concepts of art, beauty, and handicraft savoir-faire are portrayed as symbols of the most authentic values where quality and tradition are perfectly melded together in a unified approach to craftsmanship.
The exhibition will be open to the public from April 20th to 22nd and will take place at the Cavallerizze of the Leonardo Da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology during Milan Design Week 2023.

"In this increasingly digital world, where so much is being created on an industrial scale by machines, the value of craftmanship is increasingly precious. The people I met in the company and their experience were the real source of inspiration."
